DAHI POHA / DHANYYA POVU !!!!!


Dahi Poha is a sweet dish & we call it Dhanyya Povu in konkani. A perfect dish for summer to beat the heat. We use this dish in our "thread ceremony" function. You can use either sugar or jaggery(gud) in this dish. I prefer jaggery because its good for health. But here i prepared by adding sugar. This is a very healthy, tasty & a complete meal by itself. Usually amchis eat it during fasting & very good for kids too.

INGREDIENTS:-

curds - 200 gm
poha( beaten rice) - 2 & 1/2 fistful
sugar - to taste ( i used 3 tbsp here)
cashew nuts - few for garnishing (optional)



METHOD:- 

1. Fry cashew nuts in little ghee & keep aside.

2. Take curds in a bowl, add sugar & mix well.

3. Add poha to the curd-sugar mixture & mix well.

4. Transfer it to a serving bowl & decorate it with fried cashew nuts.



Note:- Mix it & eat it immediately for better taste.
