Godu appo in konkani culture is made naivedya to God during festivals especially during Ganesha Chaturthi. I adapted this recipe from my sweet FB friend friend Trupti Rao.
Ingredients:
1 cup - Wheat flour
1/2 cup - Coconut grated
2 tblsp Jaggery grated or as per your taste
2 tsp cardamom powder
Water for bindingGhee /Clarified butter for applying
METHOD:-
1. Mix all the above ingredients and add water to the required consistency (like cup cake batter).
2. Now heat the pancake puff maker (appe kaayli).
3. Put 1/2 tsp ghee in each section.
4. Pour a laddle/tblsp of batter in each section. Cover and cook for 1-2 mins.
5. Then flip appos other side and again cook for 1-2 mins or till done.
6. Crispy sweet appos are ready.
