INGREDIENTS;-
basmathi rice - 1 cup
milk - 1 cup
sugar - 1 1/2 cup
salt to taste
ghee - 2 tbl sp
cardamom - 4
grated coconut - 1 cup
cashew nuts - 10
colour - a pinch (optional)
METHOD:-
1. Soak basmathi rice for half an hour.
2. Cook with the milk+salt+lil water (if necessary).
3. In a sauce pan, make sugar syrup with lil water.
4. To this add cooked rice, colour, 1 tbl sp ghee, cardamom and stir for 10 min in low flame till all water are absorbed.
5. Fry cashew nuts and grated coconut in 1 tbl sp ghee to a golden colour and add to rice mixture.
