MALAI METHI MUTTER !!!!


INGREDIENTS :-

onions - 2 medium
garlic flakes - 4-5
green chillies - 3-4
cardamom pow - 1/2 tsp
cumin pow - 1 tsp
garam masala pow - 1 tsp
methi leaves - 1 bunch (about 2 cups)
coriander leaves - 1 cup
maida - 2 tsp
milk - 2 cups (room temperature)
green peas(fresh/frozen) - 1 cup
sugar - 1/2 tsp
salt to taste 
oil

METHOD:-

1. Roughly chop onions, garlic and green chillies.
2. Wash coarsely chopped methi leaves and coriander leaves.
3. Heat oil, saute onions+garlic+green chillies for few mins till onions turns brownish.
4. Allow to cool & transfer it to a blender. Add all the powders and blend it to a smooth paste.(without water).
5. In the same pan heat 1/2 tsp oil and saute methi leaves+coriander leaves for 3-4 mins. Add it to the  above paste and blend for 6-8 secs (or you can roast all the mentioned ingredients together and grind it together into a smooth paste).
6. Heat 2 tsp oil in a deep bottomed pan. Add the mixture and stir till oil and lumps form. When the mixture changes colour slightly , add milk little by little (add 1/2 cup milk at a time, mixing well with each addition).
7. Cook for 3-4 mins till mixture boils, keep stirring so that the paste does not stick to the bottom.
8. Add green peas(completely drained) and cook for few mins.
9. Add salt to taste and sugar (to remove bitness of methi leaves).
10. Add cubed paneer if desired (i didn't add).
11. Garnish it with tomato slices and serve hot.
12. Goes well with rotis/naan/chapathis.
