DRY FRUIT MILKSHAKE !!!!!


Milkshakes are must for summer season to beat the heat. If you add dry fruits for milkshake then it is like TASTE BHI ! HEALTH BHI ! So. here i present dry fruit milkshake today. But i forgor to note down that from which blog i noted down this recipe :( But i really wana thank that person for this tasty & healthy recipe. 


INGREDIENTS:-


Almonds - little less than half cup
cashew nuts - 1/4 cup
raisins - 1/4 cup
dates, deseeded & chopped - 10
saffron strands - few for garnishing
sugar - 2 tblsp or according to your taste
milk, chilled - 4 cups or 1 litre


METHOD:-


1. Soak almonds, raisins, cashewnuts, dates in water for about half an hour.
2. Blend them in mixer adding 1/2 cup of milk + 1 tblsp sugar to smooth paste.
3. Now add remaining milk & blend it again.
4. Pour them in glasses & decorate with saffron strands & serve.

COFFEE LASSI !!!!!


COFFEE LASSI...sounds odd na :P Actually coffee is my fav flavour. One day thought will add instant coffee powder & added to lassi. It tasted good. Coffee lovers must try it once. I know it is simplest recipe but still thought of sharing it.

INGREDIENTS:-                                                               

Thick curds - 1 cup
Instant coffee powder - 1/2 tsp ( i used BRU)
sugar - 3 tsp

METHOD:-

1. In a mixer jar add curds, instant coffee powder & sugar & blend it well.
2. Your special coffee lassi is ready to serve.

SWEET LASSI USING CONDENSED MILK !!!!!


My son gave me this idea lassi using condensed milk. He said using milkmaid thickens the lassi. So tried it & liked it too.

INGREDIENTS:-

thick curd , chilled- 1 cup
condensed milk - 1/4 cup

METHOD:-

1. In a mixer jar, add curds & condensed milk & run it till you get foam on the top.
2. Pour it in a glass & serve chilled.

and here's an tip:-

1. You can add chocolate/strawberry syrup while beating for different flavours.
2. Try adding different drinking powders like horlicks, bournvita etc.

BANANA-HONEY-ALMOND SMOOTHIE !!!!!!


INGREDIENTS:-

milk - 500 ml
honey - 4tsp
banana - 3 if small or 2 if big
nutmeg powder - 2 pinches
almonds, chopped - 10 (for garnishing)


METHOD:-

Blend the banana with milk, honey and a little  nutmeg powder until smooth. Pour into two large glasses and top with the  chopped almonds and serve.

ENERGY DRINK POWDER !!!!!!


My todays recipe is from NAMITHA'S CULINARY JOURNEY. Its exam time & kids are stressed.. Here is the recipe of energy boosters for kids.

INGREDIENTS:

*. Almonds/badam 100gms,
*. Cashews 100gms,
*. Raisins 50gms,
*. Cardamom pods 20,
*. Rock sugar/kallu sakkare 100gms,
*. Saffron/kesar few strands(optional).



METHOD:


1. Add all the items in a blender grind into fine powder & store it in an airtight container.
2. Add 1 tblspn of energy drink powder to a cup of milk mix well & give it to kids before or after meals.

WATERMELON JUICE WITH A TWIST !!!!!!


I adopted this recipe from the blog HEALTHY COOKING WITH MITHA & really liked it a lot. I made slight changes in recipe that i added little sugar too. Really this is a healthy version of watermelon juice. A must try recipe.

Ingredients:

Watermelon chunks (seeds removed) - 1/2 watermelon
1 tsp Pepper Powder
1 tsp Kala Namak/Black Salt

1 tbsp sugar



Method:-


1. Add the watermelon chunks to a blender.

2. Add pepper powder, sugar and black salt.
3. Add little water and blend for few seconds till the chunks are well blended.
4. Serve chilled.

MASALA BUTTER MILK/SPICY BUTTER MILK !!!!


Masala butter milk is a appetiser that we serve at the end of the heavy meal. Coz it helps in digestion. If you don't have butter milk at home then don' worry, bring 1 packet curds, add water to it , whisk it well & dilute it. 

INGREDIENTS:-

butter milk - 6 cups, diluted
coriander leaves - 1 small bunch
green chilly - 3
ginger - 1/2 inch
hing - a pinch
salt o taste




METHOD:-

1. Finely chop coriander leaves & add it to the butter milk & keep it aside ( use coriander leaves stem while grinding).
2. Coarsely grind coriander leaves stem+ginger+green chillies in a mixer. Strain it & add it to the butter milk & mix well.
3. Now dilute hing in little water & add it to the butter milk & also add salt to taste & mix well.

ICED COFFEE DRINK !!!!!!!!


On a hot day, watered down coffee is the last thing you want to drink. Freezing coffee as ice cubes creates a richer way to enjoy a full tasting iced coffee drink. 

Ingredients:

Milkmaid: 1 small tin
Nescafe: 20 g
Hot Water: 300 ml

Method

1.Mix hot water and Nescafe and blend with Milkmaid in blender container until combined. Immediately fill 2 ice cube trays and freeze.
 2. Remove from tray. Run knife around outer edge of cubes before removing from tray.
 3. Place in re-sealable plastic freezer bag and immediately put in freezer.

OREO MILK SHAKE WITHOUT ICE CREAM !!!!


INGREDIENTS:-

Oreo biscuits - 5 + 1 for garnishing
sugar - 1 tb sp
cold milk - 1 cup

METHOD:-

1. Powder oreo biscuits+sugar in a mixer.
2. Now add cold milk to this & blend in mixer till frothy.
3. Now garnish it with oreo biscuit's half (cream upside) & serve immediately. 




HAPPY COOKING :)))))

and here's a tip:-

1. You can add 2 scoop of vanilla ice cream also to make milkshake more tasty.
2. If using chocolate syrup add 1 tbsp into the glass and pour in the milkshake. Top with oreo cookies and serve immediately.

KESAR FALOODA !!!!!


I prepared this falooda by using ROYAL FANTASY KESAR SP. FALOODA MIX. Must say tasted great.

INGREDIENTS:-

milk - 1 ltr
Royal fantasy  kesar falooda mix - 1

METHOD:-

1. Take milk & put a glass full of water & put 1 pack of falooda mix.
2. Boil it for 5-20 mins & keep it out for 20 mins.
3. Then keep it in he fridge & your falooda s ready.
4. Put ice/a scoop of ice cream on the top of it & relish it.

HOME MADE BADAM DRINK POWDER !!!!!


I adapted this recipe from one of my FB friend, an ace cook  Vidya Nayak Shenoy. It tasted much more better than what we get from stores. A must try recipe...

INGREDIENTS:-

almonds (badam) - 80
sugar - 10 tsp
green cardamoms - 6
turmeric powder - a pinch

METHOD:-

1. In a small jar of the mixer grind almonds+sugar+green cardamoms+turmeric powder together to a fine powder.
2. Store it in air tight container.



How to make badam milk using this powder ?????

Add 3-4 tsp of badam drink powder (according to your taste) to one cup of  hot milk & mix well. Your hot badam milk id ready to serve.



For extra taste & flavour sprinkle some kesar strands on the top & serve. Kesar is good for health.



Note :- If are making cold badam drink then in a mixer jar add this powder + cold milk & run the mixer for few minutes. Your cold badam drink is now ready to serve.

MANGO MILK SHAKE !!!!




INGREDIENTS:-

3 small ripe mangoes or 1 large mango.
2 tbl sp sugar ( depending on the sweetness of sugar)
1 cup milk.
Ice cubes.

METHOD:-

1. Peel the mangoes.
2. Add milk+sugar and blend it well until frothy.
3. Pour it in glasses and serve chilled.

and here's an tip:-

During off season, you can use mango pulps instead of fresh mangoes.

BANANA LASSI !!!!!


INGREDIANTS:-

curds - 1 cup
ripe banana, peeled and sliced - 1 
sugar - 2 tbl sp or to taste
cardamom pow - 1/4 tsp(optional)
ice cubes - few

METHOD:-

1. Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth in a blender.
2. Pour in a glass and serve chilled.

CHOCOLATE BANANA SMOOTHIE !!!!!



INGREDIENTS:-  







































































banana


























































1 cup milk
1 cup crushed ice

METHOD:-


1. In a blender, combine banana, chocolate syrup, milk and crushed ice. Blend until smooth.
2.  Pour into glasses, sprinkle some cocoa/ drinking chocolate powder on top, decorate it with a banana piece and serve.
